Hair Cut!

Monday was Labor Day and Gage had big plans to work in the yard. But the weather had different plans, it down poured. Making walking in the yard more like sinking to your knees in mud! Trevin and I didn't mind, we got to spend all day with Dad. After cleaning the house, we started working on Jeep pictures for Trevin's room! They turned out great....

Dad's jeep is the one one the Left, in the middle is uncle Ryan's, and uncle James's is on the right!

Next it was time Trevin got a hair cut. I cut his hair every now and then but this time he finally had enough to use the clippers. So I held Trevin and Dad got to work. Here are a few before and after shots!

We got a few funny looks when we went to run arrands but it was fun. We only let him keep the mohawk for about a day and a half. Now his hair is butched and I think he looks bald, hopefully it will grow fast. (the first picture with the Jeeps shows his butch cut).

My Latest Recipe

CINNAMON ROLLS

THE DOUGH

2 (.25oz) pkgs active dry yeast

2 1/2 cups warm water

1/2 pkg of yellow cake mix (9oz)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

5 cups flour

THE INSIDE GOODNESS

1/2 cup butter (melted)

3/4 cup white sugar

2 tsp ground cinnamon

THE FROSTING

(or BUY cream cheese frosting)

3 cup confectioner's sugar

1/2 cup butter (softened)

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 Tbsp milk

DIRECTIONS: In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Let it stand until creamy (about 10 minutes). Then combine the yeast mixture with the cake mix, salt, and vanilla; stir well. Stir in the flour, beat well. Cover the bowl and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Deflate dough and turn it out on a well floured surface. Roll out into a rectangle and spread with melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar (combine in bowl before hand to make it easy). Roll up dough (so you have a long tube) and cut into 3/4 inch thick rolls. Place on greased baking pans. Cover and let rise until doubled (about 45 min). Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake rolls for 15-20 minutes. While rolls are cooling make frosting. Stir all ingredients together in a bowl. After the rolls have cooled a bit, spread with frosting and enjoy!
