SICK DAY!

I guess it has really been "days"... Saturday afternoon Trevin had his first experience with throwing up. He didn't understand what had happened but he definitely didn't enjoy it. We had just pulled into the driveway at papa's house to celebrate his birthday! Gage and I were sure it was a fluke thing... so we cleaned up and went inside, until Trevin did it again... We packed up and headed home. Saturday evening and night were long, but we were home free by Sunday afternoon. Or so I thought. We sent Gage to work Monday morning and everything went great until after lunch. Trevin spent the rest of the day throwing up EVERYWHERE! After scrubbing yet another spot in the carpet I called my mom hoping for some trick to keeping a one year old to stay in one place. She basically told me good luck, no chance. Needless to say Me and Cheyenne were very excited to have Dad come home and have that extra set of hands!

Trevin hanging out on the couch with dad. He still cute even when he's sick. On a good note- Trevin hasn't thrown up once today... hopefully we'll have another good day tomorrow!

3 become 4

The Crabtree's are officially a family of FOUR. Cheyenne is here and healthy... Trevin loves her, but is still adjusting... Gage has been such a good dad. He keeps Trevin entertained and happy, while still managing to help me out with Cheyenne. Hopefully, I can manage to keep both of my children happy after Gage goes back to work. Cheyenne's stats...
weight: 8 lbs. 3 oz.
length: 20.5 inches
lots of dark brown, straight hair.Trevin and Cheyenne.

Cheyennes's first bath at home! She did okay at first then quickly decided she didn't like it. Trevin couldn't figure out why she was crying. It was all pretty cute!

2 YEARS

Wow time really flies. Gage and I had our second anniversary this week. Due to my current condition(8 1/2 months pregnant) we stayed home and made a great Italian meal together. I love when we cook together, mostly because I make Gage do all the work, I pretend to be really busy doing as little as possible. It tasted great and even Trevin cleared his plate.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GAGE! I LOVE YOU!
I can't imagine life could change as much as it has in the past two years.

My Little Man

In an attempt to get ready for our new baby we started to transition Trevin out of the crib. In reality this started a few months ago and Trevin initiated it by deciding that he wouldn't sleep in the crib. He would fall asleep with one of us holding him and we would then put him in the crib, only to have him wake up at 2-3am and refuse to go back to sleep unless he was laying in our bed. So Gage got this great idea that we would put our blow up mattress in Trevin's room and when Trevin woke up we could lay down on the mattress in his room, and Trevin wouldn't be in our bed anymore. I thought it was crazy... but it worked! There were more than a few nights that one of us ended up sleeping on the blow up mattress ALL night but after a week or two we could basically pick Trevin up out of the crib and lay him back down on the mattress and he went right back to sleep. Trevin loved waking up in the morning and not being stuck in the crib, he'd get up and wander into our room to see where we were.
So, I took the liberty of taking his crib mattress out of the crib and putting it on the floor in the corner of his room. Just to see if he would sleep all night knowing he wasn't trapped in the crib.

I didn't dare take the crib all the way down yet and the blow up mattress was definitely still in the room. Trevin did really well and I finally had Gage take apart the crib at the start of December. A couple weeks ago we decided it was time to make the final switch to a big boy bed. Trevin loves it. He will even fall asleep in it! YEAH! No more rocking him to sleep. One of us has to be sitting on the edge of the bed, but I can deal with that.
Trevin has become quite the character. His personality has developed so much in the past month. He is Little Mister Independent around our house (even though he still acts clingy when we aren't at home). He is so curious and gets into every thing. I still can't quite figure out how he managed this one. I have a few ideas... I was cleaning and Trevin never came down to find me so I went looking and found him. I couldn't resist taking pictures.
Drawers are his favorite. He loves to empty them usually onto the floor, but lately has gotten creative. He takes the stuff from the bathroom drawers and puts it in our closet. So finding the toothpaste on the closet floor isn't a surprise. He has even moved our shoes to the bathroom drawers.
This is the Diaper genie, Trevin thought it was the perfect storage spot!
Trevin loves to help out. I thought he had figured out that he wasn't allowed in the dishwasher but I was so wrong, I left the room for about 30 seconds and this is what I found when I came back.
Trevin helping Dad do computer work. He tries so hard to see what is going on, he's just a little short still.

He loves to sit on the counter when you get ready, the sink used to keep him out of the stuff you were using but not anymore. He climbs right in without a problem. He just can't get out by himself. He loves to help with laundry, usually unfolding everything that I just folded... But his favorite is helping Dad put it away because he almost always gets to ride in the basket! He is definitely a handful, he can mess up a room faster than I can clean up after him. But I wouldn't change anything. I love him and can't wait to add to the chaos by adding a little girl to the mix.

Wedding...X-BOX...Free Breakfast...Daddy's boy

It's been forever since I've gotten on... so here's an update of January.

Sierra is married and I think the wedding turned out great. Thanks to Lindsay I was able to find a dress that didn't look ridiculous on my Pregnant body and was pretty comfortable too. Trevin was a trooper through the long day, he took his nap through the luncheon, which means Gage and I actually got to enjoy the food! By the reception Trevin had had enough... a BIG thanks to Grandma and Papa that came to save him! (I'll post some pictures later I was using someone else's camera all day.)

Trevin still loves his Daddy... Gage did a lot of work for decorations at the reception and Trevin couldn't stand to not be right at his side the whole time. So one night we decided we would join Gage in the garage to watch him work. It was freezing but Trevin was so happy to be out there...
Warming up in the car...

Gage and his Brothers have an X-BOX party about once every couple months. This past month we had it at our house. I had borrowed a projector and speakers from a friend for Sierra's reception and we ended up having them all weekend. I turned out to be a lot of fun... Smith's Chinese for dinner and a very loud, life size game of Halo. What more could you ask for...

Denny's advertised their Free Grand slam breakfast for the Tuesday after the Superbowl. Me and Lindsay thought it would be fun... 4 kids age 3 and under at a crowded Denny's... How could we resist the memory. So we went and thanks to Cassidy we managed with out going completely crazy. All of the kids got the mini Grand slam and We enjoyed the real thing. It was delicious and the best part... just paying a tip.

Hope you had as much fun in January as we did!

Sierra's Bridal Shower

With the wedding coming up fast we had a lot to fit into January. Sierra's first Bridal shower was last night at my house. It turned out great. Thanks to everyone that helped with food and planning! It tasted great and we had quite the variety.
We had a great turn out, it was fun to see everyone and it was great to meet those of you I didn't know.
Sierra made out like a bandit. She didn't have a whole lot of anything and now she is on her way to a great start. THANKS to all of you!

Won't she make such a cute WIFE!

2009 and lots of changes

Happy new year! I must admit we were duds this year. No parties or celebrations of any kind at the Crabtree house. I worked and Gage and Trevin went to bed at 11:30. We did get to spend New Years day as a family, we mostly lounged around not getting our "to do" lists done, but I enjoyed it.
Trevin decided that with the new year he would make some big changes! He finally got his first tooth and has a couple more not far behind. He looks so cute even though you can barely see it. He finally decided to let go of the couch and try balancing on his own, this lasted for a couple of days and now he is mobile! Friday night he took his first steps and hasn't stopped since. He is still really wobbly but getting better every minute. I thought once he started walking life would get easier, silly me. The bumps and bruises have at least doubled, we have to guard the stairs again, and the things that used to be out of sight are now fully visible and look like the best toys. Life is definitely exciting!
We hope you all had a wonderful New year and wish you the best for 2009!
